Signs Your Raynor Weather Seal Replacement Is Failing

• Daylight visible under the closed door. This is the test we do first. If you can look under the door from inside your garage and see light, water and bugs are getting in too. The rubber has flattened or torn past the point of sealing against the slab.
• Cracked or crumbling rubber when you run your fingers along the bottom edge. Texas heat accelerates rubber breakdown. If the seal cracks when you bend it, it’s dead. A healthy seal should flex without splitting.
• Water pooling in the garage after rain. Humble gets some bruisers, and a failed bottom seal sends runoff straight under the door. If you’ve been fighting damp boxes or rusting tools, check the seal before you check your gutters.
• The seal is pulling free from one end or hanging in sections. This usually means the T-end has worn loose inside the retainer or the channel itself has spread from years of door cycles. A new rubber bulb won’t fix a spread channel. The channel needs replacement too.
• Higher electric bills in summer and cooler garage in winter. A missing seal lets conditioned air escape and humid outside air pour in. It’s not just comfort. It’s money walking out under the door.
