Meet the Humble Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door
We’re a small crew by design. No layers, no call center, nobody hiding behind a corporate title. Otto Reinhardt founded this company in 2004 and has spent the years since building a team the way you’d build a good fence: pick solid people, set them straight, and stand behind the work. Every person who pulls up to your driveway in Humble lives within 30 minutes of your house. They know the neighborhoods, they know the humidity, and they know their name is on the invoice right next to Otto’s.
Our People
Otto Reinhardt - Owner & Lead Technician
Otto started Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 after years of watching big-box contractors treat garage doors like an afterthought. He answers the phone himself more often than not, quotes jobs from the driver’s seat, and shows up holding that same number. His specialty is spring systems: he counts spring cycles the way mechanics count tire miles, and he’ll tell you exactly what’s left on yours before recommending anything. When he’s not working, he’s usually at the local hardware store or arguing with a grill in his backyard. Humble has been home since before the business existed, and he plans to keep it that way.
Marcus T. - Senior Installer
Marcus has been with Otto’s Garage Door for over a decade, and he’s the reason most of our new door installations look effortless. He’s factory-trained on Clopay and Amarr door systems and handles the heavy structural work: full track replacement, custom sizing, and the kind of retrofit jobs other companies refuse to quote. Marcus is the person who notices a warped track from the driveway before the truck is even in park. He grew up in Atascocita, has three kids, and coaches youth baseball at Lindsay/Lyons Park on weekends.
Elena R. - Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice you hear when Otto’s hands are inside a spring assembly. She’s been with the company since 2019 and keeps the schedule, the parts inventory, and the promises all running in the same direction. Elena quotes jobs over the phone with the same precision Otto uses in the field, and she doesn’t revise numbers just because the truck is on the way. She grew up near Deerbrook Mall and can tell you every shortcut between Humble, Kingwood, and Atascocita. When she’s off the clock, she’s usually baking something that disappears faster than a broken spring gets replaced.
Tyler B. - Apprentice Technician
Tyler joined the crew two years ago after finishing trade school, and he’s been earning his stripes on garage door openers, safety sensors, and weather stripping ever since. Otto has him shadowing every repair that involves torsion springs, and that’s deliberate: you respect a 200-pound door before you touch a spring under tension. Tyler’s the guy who double-checks the safety reverse on every opener he services. He lives in Fall Creek, drives a truck older than him, and is fluent in every Chamberlain and LiftMaster diagnostic code you’ll ever see. Give him another season and he’ll be the one training the next apprentice.
One Standard, Every Job
The crew in Humble runs on a few rules that don’t change with the weather or the workload. Every job gets quoted before work starts, and that price holds when the truck pulls up. Every job gets the 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing, which means if something isn’t right, one call brings Otto back. No runaround, no ticket number, no waiting on a callback from some regional office. The person who answered your call is the person who shows up, and the name on the van matches the name on the invoice. That’s how it’s been since 2004, and that’s how it stays.
